How do you connect with foreign investors who may be looking at dozens of investments? How do you stand out from the rest? How do you make sure your project or property is put into the most positive light?
First, you need to have a great story to tell. Just like a TV news report, you need “an angle” and a way to succinctly share your unique selling points. Next, you need to communicate that story using compelling words and images that have universal appeal. Quality of life, aesthetic beauty, warmth and humor—these are traits and attributes that transcend cultural differences and they need to be reflected in the communications you deliver. Finally, you need to appeal to the investor with a “what’s in it for them” message. If you achieve these key communication goals, you will captivate and capture your overseas investors.
So how do you get the word out and package the message in a fresh and accessible way? It’s not like it used to be where you could throw together a brochure and some photographs and call it an investment package. Digital and social media have changed all that.
