Clem Turner has a legal practice encompassing corporate law; public and private securities law; entrepreneurial (including capital finance) law; and business transactional law. For multiple years, he has applied this expertise to capital raises pursuant to the EB5 Pilot Program. Clem has counseled numerous corporations and Regional Centers raising EB-5 capital across a variety of industries, including but not limited to: hospitality, food services, senior and assisted living, retail, manufacturing and technology. In the past year, he has worked on numerous EB-5 transactions with an aggregate deal value of over $500 million.
Prior to joining Homeier & Law, P.C. and managing its New York office, Clem garnered broad corporate law and business experience within large law firms, boutique law firms, and as internal company counsel. Clem began his legal practice at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance. He later associated with Brobeck, Pheleger & Harrison LLP in their Business & Technology Group where he counseled clients undergoing business combinations, public corporate financings and private venture capital fundraisings. After working at these large international law firms, Clem served as head of “Business and Legal Affairs” for two emerging companies, managing both operational and legal responsibilities. Most recently, as Counsel in a well respected boutique law firm founded in 1989, Clem advised clients on a wide range of business and transactional issues. This broad range of executive and legal experience allows Clem to provide his clients with sound, reasoned legal advice, balanced by practical business and market concerns.
Clem graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Psychology. He received his legal degree from Georgetown University Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the American Criminal Law Review. Mr. Turner is admitted to practice in New York and California.
